Stirling/Rees create bespoke music for your project, from traditional pop songwriting, to melodic electro, rock ’n’ roll and heavy blues.
Sophie Stirling and Will Rees met in Margate at the beginning of 2022 and quickly formed a songwriting partnership. They hit the ground running winning their first campaign for the Josh Wood Colour Miracle System with a catchy electro pop track that showcased Sophie’s vocals and Will’s production skills.
Having provided vocals for TV shows and advertising for a number of years as well as being a songwriter and topline writer, Sophie’s experience and versatile voice allow her to cross multiple genres with ease.
As a founding member and songwriter for the Mystery Jets, as well as 2 decades of DJing, Will’s electronic production skills and ear for great melodies lend themselves to creating original and distinctive tracks.
Stirling/Rees are based in a beautiful studio in the heart of Margate, situated just a stones throw from Margate train station, the glorious Main Sands beach and the iconic Dreamland funfair, it's a truly inspiring location.
The studio is a wonderful space to work in, being fully equipped with an array of acoustic and electric guitars, percussion instruments, amplifiers, vintage microphones and the latest in recording software, ensuring we are able to create the sound that will best suit your project.
We invite all our clients to come and sit in during the recording process or to visit for playbacks (and then a dip in the sea!).
We are able to travel outside of Margate to work in other spaces, bringing with us a decade and a half of experience working in some of London's best recording studios and we can also offer fully remote recording sessions and live links for virtual working too.
